This really just a request and a query of how everyone else feels. I would like to see more frequent code updates or even read-only access to an svn repository that developers frequently commit to. I don't care if things are broken, it would just be nice to see the direction things are taking. Does anyone else feel this way? Or Not? Be good to get some opinions out to the development team and management on this IMHO.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful to have the access we do, but I'm greedy and I want more!!

We're already working on exposing daily development source. We have many priorities. This is one, but it must come to the top in its turn.

We're adding an engineer to the team at the end of the month. We have funding for one more. You can perhaps help us move faster by telling this to your friends who are deeply experienced in Java and OpenGL, have demonstrated that they can solve tough problems dealing with large data volumes, and have a collaborative attitude. Such people have been hard to find. It's hard to imagine a better software engineering job: You can work from home anywhere in the country, for NASA, on leading edge, hard core and interesting technology, with a good group of internal and external people, and take home a decent full-time salary. If I didn't already have such a job, I'd be afraid to wish for it.

OK, I did my part and told the only person I can think of at the moment... I wish I hated my current job, but I don't (well, maybe some days...).

I know this is a once in-a-lifetime opportunity... I'll keep thinking about who to send to you

            World Wind Team

This is my poor presentation letter.

I don't know if this is a joke, but at least I want to take advantage making a bit of publicity of my personal GIS project at:
            http://theballoonproject.blogspot.com

It is build with JOGL and NetBeans platform 5.5 (now working to upgrade to 6).
Like WWJ it has a core set of classes to work with the globe, camera frustum, and basic renderable objects over which create more complex objects, like WMS tile images.

Amazing ! WMS and shapefile seems to work great with your app. The application can be downloaded somewhere? Is the project open-sourced?
