  • WWJ Applet not dead (using IE Tab) but certificate has expired

    Hello WWJ Team,
We know Java applets cannot run anymore on any browser. That's annoying and people from IETab solved the problem. You just have to install IETab and run it through Chrome (yes!).
    https://www.ietab.net
But with WWJ full size applet (old demo but link still alive), there is a problem of certificate from COMODO (?) that has expired since 18/03/2016
    http://worldwindserver.net/java/2.0....ullscreen.html
Can you please fix that (not by removing the link please ! :-), and maybe use https ?
    Thanks

    Frenchy, Bonjour Monsieur!
Java Applets are an 'obsolete' technology.
Even Chrome is phasing out extensions as well.
Might your effort to resurrect Applets be a kind of pipe dream?

      Hi Patrick,
Sorry for this late reply, I'm slowly leaving WWJ coding...
This "applet" problem may find a solution with javaFX and jpro https://www.jpro.one)
Their online demos are quite impressive (there is even a world map but only 2D) - See the github java code, it's just regular java...
      Cheers
