Planeshadow without a plane

Okay, maybe a challenge here: in the neighberhood of Denver International Airport I found a shadow of a plane .... but the plane itself seems to be missing. Is it because the tiles of that neighberhood are from different dates ... or do we have a ghost? :huh:

Set WorldWind to USGS Urban Area Ortho-Imagery and set terrainheigt to zero (detail is much better then).

The rule of thumb to remember is that as you get further from your subject, more things can get in the way - so from a satellite's point of view there is potential for clouds, atmospheric pollution, other flying objects, etcetera, to spoil the picture.

Consequently the high resolution images with the broadest coverage tend to come from aeroplanes because they can be more economically flown and reflown over areas on days when there is little or no cloud cover.

USGS is airplane imagery, so theory is that it's the airplane taking the picture.

1 meter is mainly satellite anything greater is plane taken. Usually converted bombers doing the work.

I believe that I have come across 4 contrails with possible images of the aircraft.
Does anyone else interpret the images the same way?
