  • High CPU Usage and poor mouse functionality

    Hi all,
    When I run World Wind my CPU is at a very high usage and i loose all functionality of my mouse ie it is extremly jerky.

    I have 512mb ram
    2.01GHz Processor

    I have installed v1.2 patch

    Restart it every 10 minutes for now.

      I suspect it's your 2.0GHz Processor...I believe they recommend having something over 3.0GHz.

        Over 3Ghz???

        Read the main page, over 1Ghz

        Personally I've had no problems with it at all and I've left it on for hours. I've a P4 2.8, 512Mb RAM and a 9200. I guess there's just some bugs in the code which need fixing.

              Turn off placenames ("Places") and have a look at the CPU usage again ...

                Nope. Turned them off and the CPU is still very high 90%+ and the mouse is very jolty

                      Remove the patched version, and install the latest version. There is something wrong with the patch on some systems.

                          I did that and still nothing. I jave installed v1.2 with no patch

                            I presume that you are talking about video drivers.
                            In that case the video drivers are the current ones from windows update. (The WHQL ones from microsoft)

                              With any highend graffics program high CPU useage is a given trust me on this highend PC games are a hobbie of mine

                              My CPU useage is 90% in WW I run a 2.8 3200 AMD Barton.
