  • When do we get a Mac or Open Source version?

Why is there no Mac version, as there is for other excellent NASA software, like the Mars Rover explorer?

      See the link m_k gave.

Also, check out the Roadmap. The hope is to have a cross-platform World Wind for the 1.5 release sometime next year.

And for your reference, World Wind is open source. It's released under NOSA - NASA Open Source Agreement. It's just that no one has stepped forward to port it yet (except for WW2D, which is sort of a port/rewrite, and a good one, too).
Note: The above statement is probably an educated guess, derived from much forum reading, IRC chatting, general curiosity, etc. Use at your own risk.
Before asking, check the FAQ or search, and Ask a good question.

Having problems? Make sure you have Managed DirectX and .NET Framework.
Then check the Video Card Compatibility List

There can't be a Mac version until all these Mac people get some of the Mac friends to actually work on it. Mac.
