Started discussing this in another thread regarding the Image Overlya Plugin, but maybe should be a separate discussion.
A few months ago, I started putting historic USGS topo maps online and set up for Google Earth. So far have about 500 maps online and each one is divided into 4 separate images, each with a resolution of about 2,000x2,000 (800k - 1.5 megs each). The maps are mostly from the late 1800s through the 1960s and 1970s and I'm adding more every week.
Anyway, I'd like to make these available to WW users also, but not sure what the best way to go about it is. I don't really have any programming ability so thought I'd see if anyone might be interested in helping out. Each JPG has an associated JGW file with the georeferecing info so maybe there is an easy way to use these in WW.
If you have Google Earth and want to see what I've got so far just load this KMZ file

I've also set up a simple website with some information on the project at http://www.fox-fam.com/gefiles/website/
