Quickbird and FRAGSTATS

Hi

I'm new here. I'm a student Biology at the university of Brussels in Belgium and I have a question about ArcMap format.
I have a satellite-view generated by Quickbird 2003, that I can enter and modify in ArcGIS. The data formats generated are ArcMap.

ArcGIS generates input data for Fragstats, but Fragstats requires ArcGrid formats. What's the difference between ArcMap and ArcGrid and can I convert ArcMap into ArcGrid?

I'm not familiar with these programs, it's the first time I use them. So I hope that u understand my question.
