Default TITAN - based on World Wind?

I have found in Youtube 4 nice videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o_p1xH-6_k
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7-nJNtrinA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tDJd8uNk04

It looks like its based on NWW. It sounds very nice, but I don't find any link for downloading it

I think it's Leica TITAN
http://www.ogleearth.com/2006/12/leica_lets_tita.html
I wonder if they used the code from WW or it was inspired by WW interface

It looks closer than "inspired by".

Default TITAN is by Leica

Hi Everyone,

I tried posting a reply as a guest and i guess it didn't make it on, so i registered as a new member

The Leica TITAN experience is inspired primarily by the Apple software experience. The application is a synthesis of Virtual Globe technology, Instant messenger, MySpace (social networking) an P2P data sharing (similar to Napster and All peers).

The code is all custom Leica built and does not use WW code at all. We do however use some open source code (GDAL). We are currently at technology preview and hope to make a beta announcement at the coming Where 2.0 show.

Id be happy to answer questions anyone may have.

Cool Leica is doing it too. Any chance we will have the code in the Open Domain ? What chat protocol is supported (Jabber) ?

That is a very strange combination of technologies.

The client application will be a free download. We are still not sure whether or not it will be open domain. Thats to be determined.

The premise behind the application is that we want to provide an alternative solution for 'authors' or 'creators' of GIS data to publish to an online network so that other users of that same network can find data, look at it in 3D and then get it. A pretty simple concept that will hopefully catch on.
