DirectX Problems after install

Installed World Wind on Pemtium IV with XP SP2 and Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4200. SP2 includes Directx 9.0C. World wind asks me to install "Managed DirectX 9.0B". I install without it and it wont run. I uninstall and install again. This time I let it install "Managed DirectX 9.0B" and now World Wind opens but causes a complete crash - hardware reboot - as soon as the globe appears. I run DXDIAG and now DXDIAG causes a reboot running the Direct3D tests! Have updated Nvidia drivers. No help.

How to fix? Can't easily roll back the DirectX install. Has World Wind been validated on SP2 / DirectX9.0C?

Ross, not sure it will fix your actual WorldWind problem, but try going to Microsoft site and re-installing DX9c (or whatever version is latest).
I've had graphics drivers corrupt certain DX files before and cause similiar crashes, a re-install of the DX version -usually- fixed them.
If re-installing the 'web' DX9 update doesn't work, try grabbing the full DX9 re-distributable file (big file, I forget size, not 2-3mb like the web one is) and installing that.
