This is a pic taken just outside of sydney, over my home

the geography isnt quite like this :P

My question is, how does it get these readings? Would it be that its taking an average of a large area?

Also, I wanna get higher quality of my suburb, it said 100 meters. Its more like 2km before it starts to pixat

Mind you, thats pritty awesome all the same.

This is actually an error with the JPL Landsat imagery and not with the NASA World Wind software. The image processed used for making the JPL Landsat mosaic caused some severe errors in the geo-accuracy of some areas of the globe, with Australia being one of the most affected areas.

If you hang in there a little longer, we'll have a better Landsat mosaic that should be correctly geo-referenced.

Thumbs up

Chris,

Does the WW code already know to invalidate the existing cache and download updated areas once they are made available ?

No, it doesn't that I know of. I do beleive this has been planned for future releases though.
