Cannot access any high res data

I have the following download manager message

and I have no high res data of any kind. When I zoom in to a low elevation I get nothing but fuzzy earth. The USGS layers shown in the tutorial are not available to me. I had no problem with the previous version of WordWind so this has me stumped. I would appreciate some help. Thanks

Looks like a firewall - probably blocking World Wind because it's a different version.

I have deactivated the firewall still no joy.
