Ok, well, if we're going to get serious about a port, does anyone have any UML for WW? Devs? Anyone else?

Incidentally, I would have thought that porting from .NET to Mono might be best - even allowing fro re-doing all the System.Windows.Forms and the DirectX stuff. The offical Devs could help by asking VS.NET to output code compliant with the 1.1 spec, instead of 2.0, as that's where Mono currently is.

However, that's more of a 'fork'. If we want one, unified codebase, then Java + JOGL might seem better.

I''d be interested in helping with either.

As far as I know the current plan is that Sun are ponying up $$ &/or developers to work alongside Chris on a JOGL version. Seems odd to me, but if it won't impact Chris's development time then I don't really have a problem with it.

Currently WW is developed in 1.1 I dont thnk we wil be going to 2.0 until ww 1.5, I'd still love a port, of the 1.3.x coddbase as 1.5 is a way off, you might want to ask the devs of punt ( a ww fork) for help if none of our devs are any help http://punt.sourceforge.net/
