Retrace the footsteps of your brutish ancestors as they trudged around the globe. Or, see if you should sell your house and buy a boat.

This addon compares present-day sea levels to those at the peak of the last ice age (~120 meters lower) and the estimated sea levels if the ice in Greenland and Antarctica melts (~80 meters higher). Approximately 5 km resolution.

Pangloss, contact withak, he made the continental drift add-on, which would go great with this one.

Well, the time scales are quite different. The low sea level map corresponds to roughly twenty thousand years ago. Continental drift, on the other hand, is usually described in tens or hundreds of millions of years.

Yes... very cool and it is "the best" if you activate simultaneously the
World Map Addon (Boundaries and Coast Lines Layer). See :

Actually what I was thinking of was a single past earth add-on so that all of the information is in one spot. I put them together already and I did see that "this product may not be modified or used for commercial purposes in any way without express written permission of the author" but it's not for a commercial use that I'm doing this, so I think I'm fine (please tell if I'm not and I'll get rid of it). All I did was make a single add-on that allows you to select either the Sea Level data or the Continental Drift data. Also I did leave in the copyright information in the Sea Level add-on.
In case anyone was wondering the use that I did make the add-on for was my own, because I like having similar things grouped, and educational usage at my school for the same purpose of having things simplified.

All you have to do is cut and paste the LayerSets from each xml and make them ChildLayerSets in your new xml file.

That's exactly what I did, but I also renamed some things so the layer manager isn't as wide and added that the -120 meter image set is for about 20000 years ago.
Just out of curiosity how do you do the childlayersets? I'm not asking how to make them but how you make them because for some reason World Wind finds them to be invalid unless I first put in </ChildLayerset> and then go back and put in <ChildLayerSet Name= ".... I use Notepad ++ if that helps.

Guest_Jim_* : I'm sorry, no. Creating these add-ons requires a lot of reasearch, work and creative effort. I don't want them included in packages not under my control.

You are certainly free to change your own configuration files on your computer to your liking. However, you may not modify, repackage or redistribute my work.

I made an installer to simplify setup. The first post and link have been fixed to reflect this.
