Thumbs up

Hi all,

Just a question to the developers...when do you expect to have some documentation for the creation of the XML files for loading shapefiles? I know we were talking about an actual GUI which would be used to specify symbology for features etc (which is where this tool should eventually head towards).

In addition to the documentation, it would be nice to be able to identify attributes from the shapefiles...in a similar fashion to my Add/Save Points plugin...which takes the output of an exported point shapefile...and loads it in as icons. I just store the attributes in an array, and then display them for each point you put your mouse over.

I KNOW it would be more difficult to create a spatial query functionality which can show you attributes for a desired feature (s)...but I just wanted to express that there is very likely a need for this sort of GIS functionality.

thanks,
Dan

Shapefile docs are coming, just need a couple more days on this as it's been a busy past couple weeks and we're trying now to push out a new 1.3.3.1 version to fix some minor annoyances and add some polish.

WW needs lots of useful stuff, but as you are well aware, with the limited resources of this group, we generally have to pick the features that people either support us with funding for, or provide us with the most personal interest satisfaction.

Thanks for the documentation, it REALLY helps. I am looking forward to the GUI interface for loading/symbolizing shapefiles (and I know many others who look forward to it as well). I know the documentation sometimes hurts...because you need to stop doing the "real" work...but it really helps people use the program.
