I made some changes on the server in the "Vector Overlay" layer.

you may need to clear out the old tiles from the cache:

Cache\Earth\Demis Worldmap\Vector Overlay

This does not affect the full map overlay in any way so you can keep the Demis Worldmap folder intact.
There is no need to reload the add-on posted above the changes are server-side only...

edit: oh yeah, what i did was remove the urban areas and make the text more readable

Having downloaded about 75.000 tiles in a few days, we assumed there was some kind of bot there on your IP, 50% of the worldwind traffic was coming from a single IP in finland.

If we see bots popping up in the statistics running a "Get All Tiles!" kind of plugin/script, we will put a hold on it, for now...

Well, i guess maybe i was a bit curious too, what's going on there Shakespeare, was it Mashi's script or are you having a LAN party ?
Hi Bart,

Mea culpa, then. I ran a script, which appears to have been looping instead of exiting. Since your DB has 8 levels of tiles, a "get all" would indeed be ambitious, and a voracious consumer of diskspace.

Best Regards,
John.

No hard feelings

The cache size is enormous on the client, however in version 1.3.2 you can try using alt-W, topmost option, to make worldwind save them in compressed PNG, as provided by the server...

Bart-

I just wanted to say thanks for this great addon and for making so much new and quality data available free of charge to the WW community. This is one more step in WW becoming a GIS!!!

No problem, grab hold of your seat using both hands, then use your nose to press the spacebar twice...!

Yea, it really sucks big time, i guess if NIMA were still updating VMap0 they wouldn't have made it public domain.

Actually we were thinking off adding US-Tiger streets in a similar fashion but you're right, why bother.... <_<

Hey NoBak-

I'd say it beats the international maps WW HAD, wouldn't you? Plus, the data is pretty stinking accurate, so far as I can tell.

And, although Project Phoenix might be a bit arrogant of the'new' NGA, NIMA has always put out good products.

Doo yer homeverk.

No offense intended . . .
