http://www.flashearth.com combines Google and MSN VE satellite photos. Flash plugin required.

(And this is interesting "Flash Earth uses online satellite imagery from Google Maps ands MSN Virtual Earth without permission, and so should be used for educational purposes only."

It's good to see there's another "mad professor" out there.
I wonder if he asked google?
Oh! I just read the "splash" He didn't.
Education is a good enough reason...

Default Flash Earth updated

Hey folks, just thought I'd post an update on Flash Earth. It now includes satellite imagery (updated daily) from NASA's MODIS Terra satellite, thanks mostly to Lucian from JPL OnEarth.

Here's Europe (Italy), for example:
http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=44&lo...5&r=0&src=nasa

There's not much scientific or useful information available on it, it's just an image viewing application more than anything else. Sometimes the MODIS imagery can be truly stunning.

Hope you like!
Paul.

How does one find the date photos were taken for the aerial and birds-eye views on MSN.com?
