Hello,
I searched around for information on day/night shading and or a terminator, but all the information was pretty old. What's the status of such a thing in WWJ? I suppose I could write up a simple terminator line to do what I need, but it would be nice to have proper shading from the sun. Thanks, -Brandon |

JSatTrak (http://www.gano.name/shawn/JSatTrak/) has this functionnality. It adds to the historical experimental sun shader included in worldwind java the day/night line and the ability to render the Sun with a correct position according to a date.
The JSatTrak code isn't really easy to understand and directly reusable but you have the class SunTerminatorPolyLineTimeDep that implements what you want I think. (http://jsattrak.svn.sourceforge.net/...00&view=markup)
