Shapefile rendering with huge number of features

Hi,
I am experiencing problems with the rendering of shapefiles containing more than 10000 features (ex : the map containing all the towns boundaries of France (36000 features) or the map containing the list of buildings of a city (15000)).
Only a part of the towns or only a part of the buildings are rendered / displayed in WW (10 to 20 % are displayed). And if i reload the shapefiles, other features are displayed and the same part is displayed.

What am I doing wrong ? Is there a configuration file to modifiy ? a parameter, or a configuration limit for the number of objects displayed ? But I can't see the problematic parameter (in config.xml ?).

But that's not really the same problem.
As far as i understood the problems mentionned are related to the slowness of the application with huge shapefiles. That's not my problem (for the moment). What i want is to display all the features of the shapefiles and not only a part.

Seems to me that is your problem, more data you are trying to feed in than your computer with WW will handle.

Read that thread and the links again.

Otherwise put your data into a .tif file and use dstile to create a tiled image layer.

Spend as much time as you want finding a different solution. If you find one please post it.
