I'm working on drawing some shapes that are designed to always face the user. I'm having some issues with rotation, and I'm wondering if my approach is even correct. Basically, before I render the object, I try to rotate it so it is in the same direction as the forward vector? Is this correct? Or is there a better way to do this?
Note I cannot use the UserFacingIcon here because I am rendering custom shapes for markers and the objects are MarkerShapes (I guess I could create a UserFacingIcon that implements MarkerShape, but I'd prefer not to because then I need to deal with mixing the IconRenderer and the MarkerRenderer). thanks, Jeff |
