Create addons (just the icons for now) from scratch or edit existing ones.
Here's the new WINK Spots - international-friendly and with an installer to boot.

This is the original (and now somewhat crowded) thread.

Download the installer here.

If you want to help translate WINK Spots (see this post for more info), here's an XML file.
Just replace the English with the translation to your language (including the Language, i.e. Deutsch or Francois or Espanol or whatever, pardon the lack of international characters), e-mail it to me (or post or whatever), and I'll include it when I get to making the translation feature usable.

Here's a list of the translations I've gotten so far:
-German
-Polish

Thanks for your help!

I've attatched the new translation file. It's XML, just translate all the English phrases in between the <tags>like here</tags>. If you can't translate something, delete the line that it's on. This will cause WINKSpots revert to the last language selected for that translation. Thanks!

File Type: xml SingleTranslation.xml (2.0 KB, 353 views)

Bump. Updated. Accepts DMS for lat/lon, bug fixes (I hope), new friendlier options dialog. Mostly it was getting my code all muddled out and straight - Translations come next.
Edit: GAH! Bugs! Sorry folks, gotta get under the hood. It's got some disabling bugs -I'll post when it's fixed.

Updated - it works now. I even made a test layer this time!

Known bugs:
-Sometimes it dosen't exit completely - you have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete (task manager) it.
-The icons have trouble. This is due to my using a 3rd-party OCX, I hope to eliminate my middleman. As of now, try loading the other icon and then come back - it usually works out.
-It won't save multi-layer files. Again, very bad, will be fixed.

Edit: updated with fixes

I installed the XML files you mentioned into the system32 directory. I still get a dialog with :

Runtime Error '429': ActiveX component can't create object.

Any ideas ?

-It shows you all the XML before you save. Just forgot to take out the debugging box.
-Just noticed it doesn't do multi-layers loading. This is bad and will be fixed really soon.
If you use a no-English windows XP version an "error of execution 13"
is occured... you must change your Linguistic Option in English (USA)
for start the WINK Spots

(I use a French Windows Version)

Okey dokey, fixed both bugs. The installer now includes the msxml dll's.
The only known bugs left are the first two (icons and task manager).
Thanks for your help!
