I've added some additional U.S. state sites offering National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) photos to the Wiki. Mostly they're 1 meter color from 2002 or 2003. I also found that this summer California will be participating in NAIP to get 1-meter natural color imagery for the entire state, which will be publicly available probably in another year.

There is a server for Japanese aerial photography at this address: http://w3land.mlit.go.jp/WebGIS/index.html
The navigation of the website is all in Japanese. The photos appear to cover the whole country in about 1 meter resolution. |

I don't think anyone's checked these sources to see if the imagery can be used in WW. But we are getting things done, and more imagery sources, and so on. Got some moon stuff, and some declassified 1970s stuff this week, too ![]() We're getting as much data in as we can, as quickly as we can. But if anyone out there wants to fiddle and investigate please do, afterall World Wind is heavily driven by the community (you, me, most of the developers, etc)

Somewhere, the where hasn't been determine yet, there will be 1ft true color and 1meter color infrared for the entire state of Indiana. PLus 2ft elevation contours, in very heavliy forested areas the contours will be 5ft intervals. KoS |

From that site: "All files in the ISDP are archived on a robotic tape system called the Indiana University Massive Data Storage System (MDSS). When a file download is initiated, the robotic arm retrieves the necessary tape and loads it into a tape reader. The requested file is then read from tape and transferred to a computer hard drive before the file transfer actually begins." It sounds like maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to expose this system to WW. ![]() |
