Beany edit: See also this thread: http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/forums...?showtopic=240 (Locked it now as it's a bit old, please post in this thread - thanks!)

I had some time and the inclination, so I went through most of the sites listed at the University of Arkansas Libraries page and came up with a list of pages with freely downloadable orthoimagery with varying resolution from various years.

CONNECTICUT
-----------
MAGIC Geo-Spatial Data Resources
1998 BW Hartford Metropolitan area, MrSID

MAGIC Geo-Spatial Data Resources
1995 BW Digital Ortho Quads (CT State Plane), MrSID

I imagine this is really cool, but it didn't work for me:

It works with Explorer 6, not with Firefox (like the Italian ortho site)

Who is serving the New York imagery?
You have this site with NY city in 1 meter but colored ortho and more visible than the 1m ortho BW.

http://www1.nysgis.state.ny.us/MainMap.cfm

Others places are mostly in one foot true colors.
The software is very complicated, and you have to zoom strongly before seeing something. But in wait for Nowak's great work on this state, it's the best we can get, I guess.

mapy.atlas.cz has aerial photo imagery for Prague in the Czech Republic.
To view, zoom in to the greatest level of detail in Prague (Praha)
Who knows, maybe they would be willing to make imagery available via WW.

Massachusetts Free color 1/2 meter resolution images available in MrSID format available from the MassGIS site. This data is registered to the registered to the NAD83 datum. Their data distribution policy says "MassGIS data are free to anyone who downloads them from the MassGIS web site".
