NITFS and RPF are imagery formats used by some US administrations - if you dont know them, then you probably dont need to worry about them.
GeoRSS here (Wikipedia is a bottomless resource): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeoRSS Mars will come at some point. You could probably get the imagery from the servers used for WW.net. by adding the appropriate tiledimage layers to WWJ. I think the elevation data has to be compressed differently for WWJ and that part may not be ready yet. Not sure really. EDIT: here are two layers for Mars and the Moon. The Moon and Mars Layers work good.
It might be good to have the layer panel setup so the Earth, Moon, Mars and any other added layer sets could be clicked and the sub layers selected in the current session would be recalled. Could the layer panel be be made so it could be minimized, or is this something that should be done in an app rather than the WWJ sdk? |

The layer panel is just an example component used for the example applications.
Anything more sophisticated should be on the app side IMO. |
