This bug occur when both rapid fire modis and landsat is selected at the same time.

look at the picture (I really can't put it in words)! There you will see Mt. st. Helens in modis with a ghosty landsat 7 peak.

edit: this is also the fact with layers other than landsat 7.

Maybe, you did not download all terrain files. Try to use the script delete_no_tif.pl.txt from buachaille, http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/forums...?showtopic=913, post #3. It will delete all files without corresponding terrain tiles, you have then to download them again.
