This is only a test layer with AVHRR imagery (2005-01-16) so no updates yet.

Nice, this "add-on" also hijacks the Landsat server connection and sends
it to your server. That makes it a WorldWindWorm!  Quote:

For those folks like me who are new to most of this study of the globe and its environment...
AVHRR = Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer Now, I might have just saved you the trouble of knowing what it stands for, if you wish to -learn- more about it, type AVHRR in your favorite search engine. B) |

Any status on progress for this one ?? I'm assuming you are using the CLASS server to obtain the data ?
http://www.class.ncdc.noaa.gov/ Problem is , you need to have a registered account there , so there needs to be a login - app embedded into the add-on I guess . How would you go about getting the images anyway ? Class server uses a Java-applet of a world map ( amongst other options ) to select regions and date for the images you want . I don't see any way to bypass the login and image-select procedures . Ideally you'd have the option to do all of that from within WW as well . So , if there ever is an add-on developed it'll most likely be a big one !! |

The project is delayed. Im waiting for tiles expiring code in World Wind and there are a few other things i need to take care of like World Wind Central and recent problems with oneearth server.
