Default send/receive coordinates

Hi,

I was wondering if Nasa World Wind had any built in functionality for sending and receiving external coordinates to plot on the maps. For example, say I created a random coordinate generator program, and had it set to send coordinates over a data channel. Can World Wind pick up data and plot the points? Along the same lines, can it send out coordinate data that is plotted on the map by the user?

Thanks

Why would you want to randomly generate coordinates?
What kind of data channel?

I dont think there is any such feature in WWJ yet... but it is open source and you can add whatever you need - and maybe share the code too.

.NET WW uses worldwind:// urls cut & pasted via the clipboard to do this.

Example: worldwind://goto/lat=-49.9863&lon=-73.2822&altitude=38000

The installer adds a registry key to make windows launch WW when you click one also.
