This list is no longer being updated and is outdated, please see: http://wiki.worldwindcentral.com/Vid..._Compatibility

Feel free to hit the edit button on the top of that page and add your card. If your unsure about something click the discussion button and add your remarks there.

I'm running a tab on on which video cards/chipsets have been known to work or crash with World Wind. So far, everything is working just fine with the market leaders nVidia & ATI . Computers with built-in video, such as notebooks, has met a few exceptions though so I thought I'd ask World Wind users how it's going.

Please keep your submissions to stock when possible. (no overclocked, water cooled, modified drivers, and neat stuff like that, thank you)

-Randy

App works on my Intel 82865G /64Mb (office computer) card. A bit buggy though viewing in 3d (tilting) as mentioned for the other Intel 82x-cards.

If app has been idle for a couple of hours, and I try tilting the screen again, the bugs makes the whole thing look bad, and I have to restart.

Fresh loaded WorldWind works quite ok, also when tilting, but seems to be buggy when viewing the horizont(?).

Just adding my tale of woe.

Downloaded the latest version 1.2d full. Even it hangs with the usuall initializing errors.

Chip set is SIS 740, hardware acceleration all the way to the right. Still can't get it to work.

May not be all that unhappy, though. It finally forces me to upgrade to the AMD Athon 64 and the latest Radeon. That should do it.

Just an update for those running with the same chip set I am.

SiS does not seem to have a video driver newer than 2002 on their site. However, they have put a newer driver version dated April 2004 on download.com. Installing this newer driver did cure my problems running World Wind.

I'm astounded with what I see, and thank you, folks.

I can't see why it wouldn't be. I would suggest making sure your video drivers are all up to date first.
