WMS Examples or HowTos?

Can anyone point me to some good examples or HowTos for adding WMS imagery to WW?

I am interested in adding imagery that is in UTMzone15N. I have been able to add the service to the layer menu, but the imagery either doesn't appear, or it floats above the land.

Of greater concern is that the imagery does not refresh and request new tiles as I zoom in closer to the earth. The statewide image just gets stretched.

Have a look at the layers.earth.PoliticalBoundariesLayer, it uses a WMS service. Next release will contain more examples.

I assume you are asking about the .NET version since this isn't the java forums.

For imagery floating above the ground, check the xml file to make sure the distance above surface is set to zero.

If you are seeing a stretched image then it is most likely a server problem. There isn't much that can go wrong in WW to cause that.

Also remember that WW can only handle geographic projection, so if the WMS server you are using does not comply with OGC standards it might be sending data in UTM projection or maybe it does but makes a wrong reprojection. I've had this trouble with a WMS I wanted to add...

Yeah, it's very common for WMS servers to not send images in the projection that World Wind asks for.
