WorldWind Server, File Types, Setup Help

Greetings,

I am trying to setup a WorldWind WMS Server.

I have followed guides, but I am still unable to get it working.

When I installed data to "WorldWind Image and Elevation", it created a full pyramid of folders with numbers as the file name. Each folder contains bil/blw/hdr file types.

Can you give me tips on how to add these files to the server?

I was able to find a DTED, but after more researching I will need a guide for serving Pyramid BIL files.

Lastly, is the purpose of a WMS Server is to provide the client with elevation data?

PS: I am a complete novice
