Problem with activation

I don't know if I am having an activation problem per se.. I registered on the forums yesterday (activation link DID work), and then tried to post a thread in the Java Development forum... Instead of my thread posting, I received a message that says "Your account is activated but you are in the Moderation queue and waiting to be added to the forum". I searched the FAQs and other forums about this but I didn't see anything. Is this normal? My account name is white539

I have this same problem, and receive the same message. My username is 'Genericly'. If I can provide any other info I'd be glad to.

EDIT: Looks like my account has been activated now so please disregard my post above. Thanks!

All new users have to be approved by one of the moderators - so it isn't instant. But I believe that even if you're in the queue you can still post. But maybe the Java subforum has different rules...

I'm having issues with my account. I tried sending a couple of messages to the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page but haven't heard anything. How long can I expect to wait until I've received a reply?

Who do I contact (and how do I contact them) to get the problems sorted out?
