Default Non LatLon Projections in iGlobe

This might be a trivial question. I noticed that the Stereographic projection NetCDF data does not render correctly in iGlobe. The reason is that I create a BufferedImage and attach a raster to render the data, which assumes that the data is in standard coordinates (LatLon). So a stereographic bounding box cannot be correctly "aligned" to that. I am attaching the screenshot from Google Earth on how the bounding box looks like.

What is the best way to render such data with worldwind?

Hello All,
I have made a significant update on the SVN repository with some added functionalities. Kindly checkout the latest version and try it out. I am still having issues dealing with stereographic projections, especially the ones that cross north pole. I have also added a "hackish" version to handle 2D coordinates, but as Tisham had assured me, he and his team can provide the support for handling curvilinear and other coordinate grids.

Thanks
Varun

Hi Varun,

I don't think we have the solution for polar stereographic. But for curvilinear data try DIVE (our legacy/unmaintained) product - . I will double check with the rest the support for polar data in DIVE, if we have it then there are algorithms in place for reprojection to Latlon in a sane manner.

Cheers,

whatnick.
