I have the same problem (splash screen says "initializing" but never goes anywhere). I have an Intel 82845G graphics controller. Any suggestions?

No worky :-(
Its a shame though since I was going to share this app if it worked on my district's standard workstation since there are quite a few teachers here who would like to play with this app in their classrooms

I have the same graphics card and no issues (well a few issues but it loads and works)

I'm having the same issue with a Radeon 9600. Strange thing is that I was able to load the app just fine yesterday.

So perhaps the problem is unrelated to the graphics card after all.

Very likely. I'm finding that most of the "It's not working" reports can be solved pretty quickly.

1) Are you running 95, 98, or ME?
Sorry, at this time WW only works for 2000, and XP.

2) Did you install the .NET framework?
WorldWind won't run without it. (Although the install says optional)

2) Have you tried deleting your cache files?
Try deleting the folders inside the cache directory in your install of worldwind.

3) Have you read the FAQ?
Spefically the part about changing WorldLayers.xml to not load elevation data, and the fact that the Landsat 7 servers are down and probably will be for a little while.

4) If you made it this far and still no love.. then you can moan and file a bug report

Could you guys tell me what graphics cards you're running?
Is it possible to run World Wind on WindowsXP on VMware virtual machine?
I was downloading WW for last 20h (yes, I have very slow internet connection ), and now I can't run it. Oryginaly I have GF 3Ti, and I'm running VMware on Slackware.
