No Earth images

I installed the WorldWind 1.4 source code and compiled/ran it successfully. However, the Earth (terrain) tiles are not visible and there are no layers in the Layer Manager (completely blank). I have an active connection to the Internet and my firewall allows all incoming/outgoing requests from WorldWind. The Earth.xml file is located in the WorldWind/.../Release/Config folder. Oddly enough, all of the other planets work just fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You either need to move the binaries from the Release dir into a regular install, or do a Debug build and run from that directory. The Debug directory has all the stuff you need for WW to work.

edit: Also, does 1.4 work from the regular installer? That is the easiest way to check whether the problem is with you network connection or with your WW build.

Hi thank you for your reply. I have alread copied the bin/Debug files over to the Release folder. I tried zooming into the "empty" Earth multiple times and finally got terrain. I seems as if I am missing the "from space" images of Earth. Thanks for your suggestions.

It sounds to me like you are not loading the BMNG plugin.

You were correct. All I had to do was load the BlueMarble plugin.

Does a regular 1.4 install work?
