Tacmud,

Did you get what was called a "NSIS error" if so I had the same thing but the layer 7 file. You might want to do a search of the forum for NSIS. After 4 failed downloads I gave up and used my other computer to download.
Perhaps you are running in memory problems? Memtest86 is a useful program for checking your PCs:

No, it just says that installer is corrupted or incomplete and when I use it with /NCRC then I have in some percents (now not sure number) CRC error

What is the file size - does it match the size f0urtyfive gives?

Perhaps you don't have enough room to unpack the files, but I doubt it.

Are you using a download manager? For large files like this it's pretty essential to use one.

Sounds like the right file size... Perhaps you dont have enough space on the volume your trying to install (I'll see if I can upload a copy that doesnt have solid compression enabled later).

Otherwise you can try to MD5sum it and post what MD5 you get, and I'll compare it.

For those of you that havent read my first post over

worldwinddata.com is going to begin offering both Cache Packs and raw data on CDR, DVDR, and Hard Drives. You can configure a disk to see how much it may hold at:
http://www.worldwinddata.com/calc.html

Hopefully I'll be adding some new cache packs to this soon. Any of the raw data will include a pre-configured webserver that can act as a caching proxy (with minimal installation). I'm hoping I can fit all of the (currently released) cache packs on 1 DVD, which I think I can.

If you are interested in ordering a CDR, DVDR, or Hard Disk, please contact me by email at mmills@ceteranet.com

I'm also hoping to get a full copy of both Onearth datafeeds to include as both cache packs and Raw data. (And some USGS data if I can).

Prices are currently not set, although proceeds will (currently) go to benefit World Wind Central, and Archive.org.

Hi there !
I downloaded
"NLT Landsat 7 Layer 2 Southern Hemisphere - 1138 MB Packed - 1171 MB Unpacked"
and begun installing it.

When I saw it was going to unpack with same cache directory as my existing one, "NLT Landsat7 (Visible Color)" and since there were no obvious reason to beleive it would not override it in the Windows' way, I renamed my existing folder and moved its content to new folder once installation completed.

Now it's like if I had not installed anything, and my previous content is not found, since for any place I would 'travel to' in southern hemisphere, it is just going to web to download tiles again ! ARG !!!

Any hints ?

Did you copy the content back so that at the end of the process everything was back in the right folder?

Also, you probably need to increase the cache size in worldwind.exe.config in the main World Wind folder.

Well sorry for using long sentences... technically, I did not copy back to the right folder, since I renamed the 'right folder', installed the pak, and moved my previous content to the new installed 'right folder'
So since I don't use WW on my macintosh but on my PC (did I heard it will be ported ?), I beleive the 'right' folder is the one with the right name

I just realised I hadn't changed my cache from 2Gb, and I've got about 10Gb in there...no wonder it was being odd. :red face:

And yes, Ihad changed my cache size ...

This a bit frustrating, I had mentally trained myself for a long challenging ground exploration of southern hemisphere, all survival supplies of peanuts and liquids ready, mouse leashed and saddled...
