It seems like sometimes one of the image tiles that's downloaded is from a different part of the world. Example: click here

It's possible that's an artifact of the server overload from which those images are coming from. It's definitely being stressed beyond it's limits

Here's another example:

Two pieces are not correct:
- The left one should have been placed to the east quite a bit more
- Amsterdam is NOT located near a mountain chain! Amsterdam is below sealevel and VERY VERY VERY flat

I have this happening to me too alot now and i dont kno how to fix it.

I wonder how this can happen. The server must be serving the wrong tiles under high stress.

A work-around is to delete the numbered folders in the "cache" directory, but then of course you have to re-download all the images then next time you run the program. It's not obvious which particular cache files correspond to the "bad" areas.

Thanks for the workaround. I wish the Nasa team good luck in fixing this bug, looking forward to the next release.

Btw, for the rest, I really like the application, great job.

Facing the same problem as well and thought of doing the same cache deleting process but what with the current server status, am afraid that it might take a while for the correctly rendered tiles to be redownloaded. Hopefully everything gets smoother in the coming few days. Can't wait to really go to town with this excellent program....

This is an artifact from the high-stress from the server. Under normal conditions, this should not happen.

It seems that the program loads up preset tile sizes from the server. Perhaps an option to 'refresh' just a particular curropted tile might be helpful?

Use this tool as a workaround

http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/worldwind/forums...p?showtopic=136

to remove the wrong tiles.
