Hi,
I'm trying to get a cone to rotate in such a way that the pointy top part stays in the same position, but the heading and tilt change the rest of the cone. I'm trying to represent a radar. You can sort of think of my problem like a flashlight being lit from the ground. The flashlight stays in the same place, but it can be pointed at any direction in the sky with any length, radius, tilt, and heading. We've been really struggling with this problem for a while, and it's really important for our project. We tried to just do a calculation offset, but that proved fruitless. We really appreciate any help you guys can provide! |

I have some code that does this, but it is not using WWJ cones, but custom OpenGL rendering. It also calculates the intersections between the earth and the cone to show some interesting shapes. I will try to post some soon to help you out.
