Is it because of greenwich or because of (0.0) around ?
That's a bug everyone can observe easily using the Flatworld demo (Earthquakes), by toggling the flat/round modes. Cheers anyway |

I have the Earthquakes demo running now and the tiles seem to download and display just fine.
Clicking between flat and round the same images are visible. Which layers are you having a problem with? The demo has been on the site for several years without a problem like yours being reported. |

With the default layers.
Would it be a cache issue ? I went to test on a colleague station, and he had the same behaviour. Please be sure to zoom on africa coast. see attached. |

Well, that's around -0.8/+8, you can see on dumps...
Maybe that's because it's a former french colony ? ;-) |

The I-cubed layer is not showing in flat. It is in round.

OK. But even with i-cube off, i have the Blue Marble layer at a better definition at this place, when in round mode, that in flat mode. It doesn't seem logic.
I didn't figure the layers had a capability based on the type of display. |

If you turn on the Political Boundaries layer it is much lower resolution in flat mode also.
That is strange. In my apps I don't use flat mode so never noticed that until you pointed that out. Using the flat mode when zoomed out shows the whole surface of the globe. What purpose is there for flat mode when zoomed in??? Would it be worth while spending time on this? Maybe that is why this "bug"?? or anomaly was not corrected for. edit: Maybe a decision was made that after a certain zoom level it served no useful purpose to "convert" the images to flat mode. Can you think of a reason why it should be? Last edited by nlneilson; 06-27-2012 at 02:33 PM. |
