I had some time and the inclination, so I went through most of the sites listed at the University of Arkansas Libraries page and came up with a list of pages with freely downloadable orthoimagery with varying resolution from various years.

All this imagery is wonderful but, excuse my ignorance, how can I use it in World Wind? I've gotten so used to the World Wind interface that when I've pulled up an image in Firefox, I've unconsciously started trying to tilt and pan using the World Wind keyboard shortcuts. Ooh that's frustrating when it doesn't work!

So my question is: How can I use it in World Wind? I do have a programming background and have successfully created my own "path" layers of bike rides I've done/plan to do, but I don't know where to start if I want to use this imagery in WW.
