Hi everyone,
I got questions about the performance of my WorldWindJava. I show icons on my globe from an XML file. I got 706 icons showed. When I try to navigate on my globe, it is very slow (I got a really big computer , 4Core). Do you have some tips to increase performance of my WorldWindJava? I suspect one thing , but I have to know if the init() function (or the AppFrame one) is recall each time we draw the globe (For example, when I zoom or turn the globe). Thanks a lot Akhésa |

There are performance issues with icons, annotations and other renderables.
See these threads for some tips: Performance problems: http://forum.worldwindcentral.com/sh...ad.php?t=14151 LotsOfIconsLayer: http://forum.worldwindcentral.com/sh...ad.php?t=11314 What init() method are you referring to? It should be called only once, certainly not at each frame. |

Hi Pat,
Thanks you for yours links, they help me a lot. For your question : the init() method is to JApplet what AppFrame() is to JFrame. Akhesa |
