Default Question on WorldWind official delivery

Was wondering if they are any closer to an official WorldWind 1.0 delivery?

If so does anyone know a timeframe? I was told earlier this year that the end of September was a possibly date.

    Thanks

There is not set date for the 1.0 release. There is still a number of things to be done before that and we will try to produce a release before the end of the year.

Any nuggets of news on a 1.0 release? Are we still likely several months out?

    Soon + 1 Day

No idea on a release, that is secondary to the people that put money in, they get primary focus.

Ha! I like that, and I understand completely. No hurries, no worries from me. Meanwhile, I look forward to more cool WW stuff in 2010.

Thanks to the WW team for all your great work.

Is there a reason it matters to you whether it's called 0.6 or 1.0? What are you expecting in the latter?

Like any piece of software I realize it's completely arbitrary of course. Typically a jump to 1.0 indicates a level of supported API and stability.

We're following your nightlies periodically and had seen several mentions of a 2009-end 1.0 release, so we just wanted to know if we should hold off on an internal release a few days and sync up to that or just go with what we have. Following the nightlies minimizes any change we need to adapt to, it's really more psychological and "looks-good-to-management" than anything.

    Thanks again!

I think people are looking for a "signed off" and "good to go" release so they can use it without too much fear of an update the next night that might FUBAR their work.
