    Default FAA GeoTIFF Aeronautical Charts

These are public and available on DVD at:
    http://naco.faa.gov/ecomp/Catalog.as...OS+DIGITAL+DRC

They would make a nice layer, they are in .tif format and georeferenced.

It would need to be split into tiles and into .jpg or for some .dds format.
Are there links to information on how this can be done?

We can host them on WWC's servers as well.

    That would be great!

There are two DVD's for the U.S. except Alaska, I could have these sent to someone to put on the servers at the same time I order my set. I just have a 45Kbps dial-up so sending the data after I convert it would be a pain. The layers in WWJ that were .dds I have modified to download and save as .jpg from the WWC server. I still use WWC also.

The updated charts come out April 10, PM me an address and I will get these sent.

I asked about it on the FEF mailing list.. Probably f0urtyfive would be the one to send too.

I did not get an address even after a pm to f0urtyfive so I just ordered a DVD of the Western U.S., got it in 2 days, great images.

Tried dstile but it needs pct2rgb also.

If dstile was written in Python the same as FWTools then I could change it without a problem, otherwise I will need to make a batch file just to remove the leading zeroes.

What do you use for the NASA server for "pct2rgb->dstile" without the LEADING ZEROES and is it available, could it be attached to a post??

If you've got Google Earth, you can view them using this network link.
