I also have the following message in DEBUG_START :

at WorldWind.WorldWind.InitializeComponent( )
at WorldWind.WorldWind..ctor()

re-installed Direct X 9.
DXDIAG says it's all fine.

Still won't go past the splash screen

What kind of video card do you have?

Have you tried setting your regional settings to English - United States?
