I would love to see a feature that showed day/night in realtime say taken from the USNO atomic clock. Perhaps a setting where you could follow the terminator and such.

It's on our list, slightly more elevated now that you asked for it. :)

You can bump it up again if you like, I think it's a great idea!

Yes, add my vote for this as well please. In the past I have tried out 2 programs that do this, Earth Browser and Earth View. It would be great to have the capabilities of both of these programs into World Wind.

Earth Browser (http://www.earthbrowser.com/)
This is a cool app that is pretty similar to World Wind (but not anywhere as detailed) that does the real time earth lighting. One thing that was really nice about it was the way it added displays of earthquake data... ( i mention this cause we felt one here in the San Francisco area today.) It was also good for seeing the weather forecasts which would be nice to have in WW. Another nice feature are the links to webcams all over the world.

EarthView (http://www.desksoft.com/EarthView.htm)
What this program does that sets it apart is how it can become your desktop. It's not real time, but you can set the parameters you want and choose that to be your desktop and it updates it at a set interval. Nothing beats having a high resolution image viewed how you like it, with current cloud cover, updating constantly as your desktop. You can also set different settings for it as your screen saver, so when your screen saver comes on, it does a different view.

Thanks for the amazing work you have done on World Wind and I'm looking forward to what it has in store!
