Geoportail is also nicknamed google earth ' à la française ', ever it should to said google map. All data are 50cm per pixel for whole france. The data should be less 5 years old.
3D data and visualisation should come in early 2007.
However it will be fine if these data could be incorporated in world wind.

Pour les francais, j'imagine que vous etes deja au courant avec tout le buzz de jacquot autour :)

Visiblement, ça commence à marcher.
Je suis un peu deçu finalement. La resolution ressemble plus a du 1m que tu 50cm pour le moment.
Point positif, vue comment c'est codé, en un petit moins ,y a moyen d'avoir un plugins pour world wind :rolleyes:
Je peux donner mes analyses par mp pour ceux qui veulent :)

hi people,
i try to connect to "www.geoportail.fr", unfortunatly most of time it's impossible. Pierrick is very lucky to see some pictures. the launch is a little bit "cahotic". once again, not a very good image of france mister jacquot (i'm french). but i hope that will work because i saw the video about the "geoportail" and it seems very nice. wait and see say our english-speaking friends ;-)

En effet, nouvelle version, nettement plus classe et web 2.0 que la précédente.
Beaucoup plus de couche disponible, un zoom global france également dispo avec donnée spot. Bref que du bon.
A noté également que nos amis suisses du canton de genève peuvent profiter de la même interface puisque des données ortho @25cm (à vue de nez) sont disponible. Limite rageant de voir de meilleurs données pour la genève que pour la france sur geoportail.:(
Enfin, grosse amélioration, la gestion des couches. Il est possible de visualiser plus de 2 couche simulatement, en choississant la transparence de chaque couche ainsi que leur ordre. Pour cela, penser à passer en mode expert.
