application fails to initialize

Hello,

When I try to run worldwind 1.2, the application fails to run. I get a popup window with this message:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

When I installed the program, I elected to not install .net 1.1 and since I already had directx 9.0c installed, I did not install the distributed of directx either.

I am running winXP home with SP2, directx9.0c

My relevant computer specs are:

Athlon XP 2000+
512 meg ram
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT, 61.77 drivers

You will need the .NET runtime for World Wind to work. You will also need the "Managed" directx drivers which are not by default installed with DirectX. You can download, unzip, and run this to install the "Managed" directx 9.0c drivers:

does any1 have any suggestions? i really wont to get onto games using directx9
