off topic - more erdas help :P

i have an *.img image which has no projection at all. How can I set a new projection using erdas imagine ?
The "Reproject tool" doesnt seem to work :(

Well, if you have access to ARC-GIS or Arc-INFO, it is much easier to do.

In ERDAS, there maybe other ways, but the way I define a projection. Add image to a viewer. Goto the utility menu, then select layer info. A new menu opens up.

Select the projection tab, then select the edit menu. Next select and change your map model to the right projection and then select add/change projection under the same edit menu. Select the right projection for your image. And you should be good to go. Also, look on the help docs in the utlilty function/section of ERDAS.
