Why is there no Mac version, as there is for other excellent NASA software, like the Mars Rover explorer?

Also, check out the Roadmap (http://www.worldwindcentral.com/wiki/Road_Map). The hope is to have a cross-platform World Wind for the 1.5 release sometime next year.

And for your reference, World Wind is open source. It's released under NOSA - NASA Open Source Agreement. It's just that no one has stepped forward to port it yet (except for WW2D, which is sort of a port/rewrite, and a good one, too).

There can't be a Mac version until all these Mac people get some of the Mac friends to actually work on it. Mac.
