Hello,

Now, I take a look to this application, and I think that is incredible!!!. Because we have a problem, my zone with the lansat 7 have very poor resolution. I have MrSid images 1:5000 and would load in.

Anybody know if is it possible?. Load MrSid images in the Nasa World Wind?. How?.

Thanks for all.

I imagine you would have to convert them to png or jpg first.

Mashiharu made an Image Overlay Plug-in (http://www.mashiharu.com/archives/cat_1/), with this plug-in you can load pictures.

If I'm not mistaken, that plugin only allows you to manually load one image in at a time, and it does not allow you to load in geo-referenced images. I think that one could probably extend the functionality of Mashi's plugin by providing a dialog box to choose the images you wanted to load, and then, you could read the world files (i.e. JGW), and specify the extent coordinates with code. That way, the user would not need to drag the corners of the images, or change them in the properties box.

I don't really know of a clean and simple way to add imagery to WorldWind...other than serving up your imagery with WMS (which doesn't work for everyone)...
