Hi. I am an Italian boy, that doesn't know very well the English.
I apologize you for the errors that I will commit speaking English.
I have two problems:
1) I have download the addon packs, and I have execute addon packs on the directory of Wolrd Wind. How do I read the data of the addon (on the fixed disk) in the program world wind?
I have the keys "F1-F2 -...... F12", that don't work.
I have windows xp home, radeon 9600 for, direct x 9c, acceleration 3d, intel 2,4, 1 gb ram.
2) where I can ask for the addon, that shows Italy?
Thanks for Your help

Just a note for our international users who don't speak english as a second language. Most of us americans don't speak very good english either :) As a result we can read (and even write) fractured english very well.
Anywho, to somewhat answer your questions.
1) If everything went right you should be able to install the addon pack, then load up WorldWind and zoom to that location and see data. (It kinda looks blue grey when you zoom in.)
The F-keys were removed in version 1.2c and the keychart wasn't updated.
2) This is the forum where people post the cache files:
http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/worldwind/forums...p?showtopic=227 (http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/worldwind/forums/index.php?showtopic=227)
I thought there was a separate forum for requesting cache files but I guess I was wrong.

Thanks for explanation. ;)
Thanks for link... I have found mostly_europe and I have installed him. ;) ;)
This morning I have run the program and I have used the zoom with landsat7 (without any connection internet).
But I have not seen anything.
I have seen only the writing: problem to contatting server... try again 2 minutses.
How long do I have to attend, because the program realizes that the data are on the hardisk?
Thanks.

You are viewing the data there on your hard drive. What you have is not that grealy detailed.. maybe 2 or 3 zoom levels in.

I have installed addon-pack of Europe.
I have opened the program and selected landsat7.
I have tried the zoom with x2-x3 and also x9-x10.
I have gotten the same results.
I see the surface very opaque.
I don't distinguish neither residences neither other details.
{I distinguish = I don't see}
However I have noticed that the mountainous chains become 3D (but also them a lot of sfocate).
{sfocate = I don't see the details}
Thanks for help.

Post some screen shots of what you see. That will help figure out what's going on.

Hi there, I'm an Italian user aswell so be kind and excuse my spelling.
I've got the same problem too, I've dowloaded the .zip files, extracted them to the cache directory, but can't manage to see a thing.
Does World Wind automaticly swich to the cache or is there an instruction that the prog needs to do so?
Please help me if you can, I would really like to play with the prog that should be beautyfull.
Thanks,
Alex

I don't see this question answered anywhere, so I'd like to repeat it.
I've downloaded the latest program as well as the two zip image files for Australia & UK.
I've installed both of these by unzipping to the cache directory & sub directories and restarted the program but still get no images of Aus or UK.
What am I doing wrong (if anything) ???
