Hello,
I was wondering if there was any work being done (or maybe it is already done and i just missed it) on integrating a data feed for the Blue Marble 2012 imagery?
thanks!

Not that I know of. I think 1984 is the latest.
Try the USGS
Wasn't it just a single image? Or there is a global coverage?

There is a single image which would be real course when zoomed in.
And there is the downloadable tiles that have higher resolution.
Just as a guess it is for May of 1984 as the default but I think every month of 1984 can be downloaded.
Oh, I meant the 2012 version ;) I only saw a single shot of North America and nothing more, so I guess it's not a real dataset.
As for 1984... I think it's rather 2004 :P And it's called BM Next Generation http://worldwindcentral.com/wiki/Blue_Marble

Thanks for the information and link m_k.
I just looked and I am still using:
LegacyBMNGSurfaceLayer.xml
Guess I need to do some updating.
LegacyBMNGSurfaceLayer.xml (Blue Marble Next Generation)
Looks like you already have it ;)

I looked at your link in post #5 and it was interesting.
I have just been using the default BMNG and month that comes in the the SDK.
edit:
Apparently there is Base, Shaded and Shaded + Bathy.
"BMNG Shaded + Bathy is enabled by default ..."
